This student-centered non-profit is seeking a creative activation of the overhead space in their primary recital hall. This artwork is intended provide a unique sense of place, enliven the industrial architecture and acoustic dampeners, and help to solidify the performing ensemble as the central focus of the room.

SCOPE OF WORK Rosie's House full recital hall is approximately 50' deep by 47' wide, however the artwork should focus on the areas above the ensemble performance area (front center) and the audience seating (which can extend back many rows). The artwork may consist of a surface treatment of the ceiling beams and acoustic dampeners, or suspended sculptural features, or both, and may or may not include the side and rear walls. Artists may consider architectural solutions; fabrics such as scrims, felt, or other; technology; common use, found or upcycled materials; wood; or other. FACTORS TO CONSIDER

- Up to 10 Images of Previously Completed Artworks - Images must be in JPEG format, and under 5MB. Digital image file names must contain image number, artist’s last name, and title of artwork (e.g. 01_Bowie_LifeOnMars.jpg). Please do not include any text or identifying information on the image.
- Image List (1-page limit; DOC or PDF) - Please Include artist name, title, media, dimensions, year completed, location, commissioning body, and project budget. You may also include 1-2 sentences describing the work or process.
- Resume or CV (No page limit; DOC or PDF) - Current professional resume or curriculum vitae (CV) including artist’s name, address, email, and phone number. You may also provide a brief artist statement or biography.
- Letter of Intent (1-page limit; DOC or PDF) - Please write a brief narrative explaining your interest in the project, your past experience, and how you would anticipate approaching this particular project (in what materials, general orientations, connection to themes and audience, etc.). Please also carefully review the timeline and confirm that it is feasible for your intentions.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Finalists will be chosen by the selection committee based on the artwork's strong ties to the above stated missions and aesthetics as well as its overall suitability for a youth-centered music academy in the heart of downtown Phoenix. Portfolio should demonstrate the artist's ability to execute a site-specific installation intended for long-term indoor display.
